Montri Rawanchaikul is CEO of PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited or PTTEP, Thailand’s national E&P company. He brings nearly 30 years of oil & gas exploration and production industry leadership experience to move the company forward on its path to sustainable growth.
For the last few years, Montri had been the driving force behind several key achievements of PTTEP. His contributions not only ensured a long-term domestic and international supply, but also set strategic alignment for PTTEP towards sustainability and future challenges that include energy transition for PTTEP to become a globally reputable company.
More recently, he pushed for PTTEP’s establishment in the Middle East through successful acquisitions of the exploration joint ventures in the UAE and Oman. He was also responsible for the oversight of all producing assets and strengthened long-term growth in both onshore and offshore of Thailand and Malaysia.
Assuming the role of CEO in October 2021, Montri envisions and commits to lead PTTEP to thrive in the uncertain world by strengthen PTTEP E&P core value foundation to become resilient organization while being responsible to the climate change agenda. He advocates Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) initiative as he strongly believes in PTTEP’s upstream capability that can materialize CCS projects and be a part to make the world a better place for future generations.
He holds bachelor’s degree in Physics from Chiang Mai University, Thailand, and master’s degree in Exploration Geophysics from the University of New South Wales, Australia, Montri commenced his career as a Geophysicist at PTTEP.
