In the General Elections of 2021 Mrs. Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra was elected as Vice President of the Republic of Peru, in the formula headed by Mr. Pedro Castillo Terrones for the Peru Libre party, who won the second electoral round.
From July 29, 2021, she has assumed also the position of Minister of Development and Social Inclusion of the Republic of Peru.
Born in Chalhuanca, Apurímac, Ms. Boluarte is a lawyer, graduated from the Universidad Particular San Martín de Porres, with more than 18 years of practice. She also completed a Master’s Degree in Notarial and Registry Law at the same university
She has completed specialization diploma courses in Administrative Law and Public Management, Constitutional Law, Constitutional Procedural Law and Human Rights. She is also an Extrajudicial Conciliator.
As of 2015 she was appointed Head of the Registry Office of the National Registry of Identification and Civil Status (RENIEC) of Peru, in de district of Surco, Lima, after performing as its Senior Management Advisor since 2007.
She was Director of Social Welfare at the Lima Bar Association and during her tenure several changes were made for the benefit of lawyers.
She held the Chair of the Apurímac Departmental Club and the First Vice Chairmanship of all the Departmental Clubs of Peru.
With the Peru Libre party, she was a candidate for the Mayorship of the Surquillo district in Lima, in 2018. In 2020, she also participated in the Extraordinary Parliamentary Elections.
